The 2013 Pet Photo Contest will be ending Wednesday, August 21 at 11:59 PM. All votes and photos must be received before the contest closes. Following completion of the contest, work will begin to put together the 2014 Calendar which will be mailed to all photo participants. Thank you for your support of Halifax Humane Society!
Join the fun and enter the 2013 Pet of the Year Photo Contest. Your pet doesn’t have to be adopted from Halifax Humane Society to be considered, but we do love our adoption success stories. The Cat or Dog photo entry that receives the most votes will be featured on the cover of the 2014 HHS Calendar! After that, the Top 10 vote-getters will be pictured as monthly features in the 2014 calendar, and 2 additional entries will be crowned as Judge’s Choice winners to round out the remaining monthly featured pets.
There are two great ways that you can participate…#1 You can make a donation to the shelter by uploading photos of your favorite family pet for $15.00 per upload with calendar (calendars will be sold for $10.00 each following conclusion of contest) and $5 for each additional upload…and/or #2, vote for your favorite pet for a donation of just $1.00.
So don’t wait! Enter your photo now and get your friends and family to vote. Votes are $1 each and all proceeds benefit the Halifax Humane Society and the animals we serve.

About Halifax Humane Society
Halifax Humane Society, the 2012 National CLASSY Award winner for Animal Advocacy & Services, is a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit organization servicing the Greater Daytona Beach area in Volusia County, Florida since 1937. It exists to protect animals from cruel, neglectful, and exploitative treatment. Halifax Humane Society is an open-door animal shelter that refuses service to no animal in need.
As one of the largest humane societies in Florida, Halifax Humane Society provides a full array of humane programs that allow it to provide service to nearly 25,000 animals each year. Through generous donations of time and money, the Halifax Humane Society provides shelter for lost and abandoned animals, delivers humane education to its citizens, creates a pet-friendly environment in its local community, and prevents overpopulation of animals by offering affordable spay/neuter opportunities.
